The Problem & Solution
The client had to replace a part distorted by a leg in their seed and grain elevator. Changing the distorted part usually requires removing the roof and would have resulted in excessive downtime. This extra step would also cause costly and time-consuming maintenance in the future.
Wasche’s Machine Shop delivered an effective solution that skirted these adverse consequences. We designed a split and offset washer to streamline the replacement of the distorted part without removing the roof or any other components. The innovative washer allowed the client to save time and money by avoiding excess downtime and expensive repairs.
Results & Feedback
Our efforts paid off, and our split washer is still in operation 10 years after installation. The client has yet to encounter any issues with the washer. Our solution also saved them over $50,000 in maintenance costs and downtime. The client gladly paid for our solution, which took just two days to deliver.
